All of us who love animals wish fireworks didn’t exist because we know the harm they cause not just to dogs but to all animals. However, it’s a reality we have to live with. Here’s what I do to manage my dog’s anxiety during the July 4th fireworks: 🚫💥
1. I set up a comfy bed in the corner of our room where she feels safe, with her favorite blankets and a sweater that smells like me.🛏️
2. I use an aroma diffuser with relaxing oils and play calming music for dogs.⚛️
3. If your dog is very anxious, you can also help with a natural calming remedy like CBD, Bach Flower, or Valerian made for dogs.🧘🏻♀️
4. Earlier in the day, I take her for frequent walks so she’s used to being outside, does her business, and explores enough to stay relaxed.🚶♀️
